The traditional eight day period of gift giving during the Hanukkah holiday is one of great anticipation for thousands of Jewish children every year.  These gifts can be of a large or small scale and can be given by any friend or family member celebrating hanukkah.  Traditionally, the first gift of Hanukkah is given after the first candle is lit on the menorah, signifying the first night of Hanukkah.  Then, for the next seven evenings, another candle is placed in the menorah and lit.  When the menorah is filled with its eight candles, the Hanukkah celebration has come to an end.
