My wife and I are terribly excited right now.  We are finally building the cabin in the mountains where  we will spend most of our time after we retire.  That day is approaching and the work on the cabin is progressing.  We chose a plan that we loved and did a lot of research about the roofing materials that would be best to use for a cabin.  While the cost is higher, it made perfect sense to use metal.  It can withstand all kinds of climates and the material we chose included a fifty year warranty.  The roof will very likely last longer that I do.
