Sometimes anorexia stems as a result of the pressure asserted by family members who are extremely concerned about the teenagers' body weight. Emotional problems like stress, depression or anxiety can also result in a lack of interest in food that leads to anorexia.

It is important to identify these reasons and deal with them in a proper way to avoid the development of anorexia in teenagers.
