Fabrics of trailer rv covers come in two general types: woven and non-woven. Woven fabrics are made of either natural cotton or synthetic thread while non-woven fabrics are always made of synthetics. While each material has its advantages, none is considered best for all applications. Woven cotton canvas, sometimes called "duck," has been around almost as long as trailer RVs. It is still considered superior for covering wooden trailer RVs or for use in humid areas because of cotton's "breath ability," meaning that air flows through the fabric, allowing moisture in the trailer RV to escape to the outside.
